Dining: BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse
High-energy and Family-friendly
Vibe: BJ’s bills itself as “high-energy, family friendly,” and we couldn’t agree more. What started as a Chicago-style pizzeria in California has become a staple for North Dallas families looking for creative ways to please their picky eaters. BJ’s boasts big screens to keep everyone entertained and an extensive kids’ menu to keep everyone well fed. Why it’s tot-friendly: The kids’ menu covers all the most important bases. Spaghetti, check. Pizza (deep dish), check. Mini-burgers, check. From chicken fingers to mac and ch
eese, this menu is basically flawless for young eaters of all persuasions. Be sure to try: Because BJ’s was founded as a West-coast homage to Chicago pizza, start with a pie. Custom-build it with topics everyone can agree on, or try one of the custom creations on the menu. Good to know: Take-out and delivery are available, and the place is open until midnight, so a late snack is always an option. Best times to go with kids: With full bars at both locations, it’s probably best to avoid rowdy evenings with major sporting events on the screens.
