Dining: Mattito’s
Their Casa es Su Casa

Vibe: Mattito’s vibe is a Tex-Mex family fiesta. Nestled in a little enclave off of Cedar Springs and Routh, Mattito’s is the Latin-American tradition of family togetherness brought to life. Enticing smells waft from the kitchen through the restaurant and out onto the several patios, and it’s the go-to destination for family parties or just Sunday brunch.

Why it’s tot-friendly: Colorful décor, extensive menu and loud music make this a hot spot for families with kids. The large candy bowl by the front door will not escape their radars, either.

Be sure to try:

Buffet brunches are great for sampling a little of everything. Mattito’s is no exception with Tex-Mex staples, like taquitos, and brunch classics, like Belgian waffles. You’ll want to load up on migas, made with red or green chilis and plenty of cheese. The chocolate fountain for diping your strawberries, marshmallows or cookies doesn’t hurt either.

Good to know: Parking is by valet, so have some singles with you. Reservations are always welcome for larger parties, and private rooms are available.

Best times to go with kids: Brunch hours are great for a relaxing meal with family and friends.
