Dining: Fuzzy's Taco Shop
VIBE: Low-key with cheap tacos. Sounds good, doesn’t it? If so, check out Fuzzy’s Taco Shop. The booths are brightly painted in primary colors, and decoration is minimal. It’s a casual restaurant that offers tacos with fish, pork, beef, chicken, shrimp, and even has a veggie option.
WHY IT'S TOT-FRIENDLY: Although the tacos are cheap enough to fill kids, Fuzzy’s also has a kids’ menu. It includes favorites like the cheese quesadilla and cheese nachos.
BE SURE TO TRY: Fish tacos are popular here. Try it tempura or grilled, and it comes heaped with fresh lettuce, toma
toes, cheese, cilantro, feta and garlic sauce. Or, be adventurous and try it slathered in Fuzzy’s “Butt Burnin’ Sauce,” but remember: it’s named that for a reason.
GOOD TO KNOW: Restaurant hours vary by location, with some opening as early as 6:30am and closing as late as 3am. But, as long as you go for lunch or dinner, you shouldn’t have any problems. BEST TIMES TO GO WITH KIDS: Because Fuzzy’s is a popular hangout that’s open late, it’s especially popular with the college-aged crowd. Avoid rowdy encounters and opt for a fun, light lunch with the kiddos.
