Dining: Tart Pastry Studio and Bakery
VIBE: A cute and modern take on a vintage bakery, Tart offers a fresh twist. Two sisters (one a pastry chef, the other a graphic designer) opened up shop in 2004, combining their talents of cooking and designing. Not only does the bakery boast fantastic sweets and enviable cakes, but also a collection of delightful stationary and greeting cards.
WHY IT’S TOT FRIENDLY: A full menu of miniature treats not only will tickle the taste buds of little ones, but delight them with itty-bitty sizes just for them (or so they think!). The family-run shop (the
sisters’ mom can often bee seen helping out too) is kid-friendly and so are the custom-made birthday cakes.
BE SURE TO TRY: The carrot cake is savory and memorable – sure to bring you back time and again. Be sure to get the cream cheese icing; it’s to die(t) for. Also worth noting: key lime pastries for a tart treat.
GOOD TO KNOW: To make the experience complete, Tart will also custom design invitations for your party.
BEST TIMES TO GO WITH KIDS: Afterschool - no better time for a Tart pick-me-up.
